Skism - 2021 Release Date: February 08, 2021 Label: Rotten Bastard Records Format: CD / Digital Length: 16:50 Genre: Hardcore Punk / Oi! Origin: Brooklyn (New York), USA

Let's face it. The world we are living in needs a lot of improvement. Even though the fat orange man has left the White House, even in the United States life has not immediately turned to rainbows, green meadows, and free day-drinking. Fascism, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, oppression, injustice are global issues affecting a shit-load of people. Fortunately, there are people who won't take it any more, and who open their mouths to scream and shout against those arseholes. Be introduced to Skism, a four-piece Oi! and Hardcore Punk band from Brooklyn.

Skism play rough and violent Hardcore Punk for the streets. The message conveyed in this powerful soundscape is obvious. "2021" is a zeitgeist document praising unity and solidarity. Skism play the music for those who had enough of capitalists, fascists, racists or sexists sharing the whole cake among each other while the rest can fight over who gets to lick the plate. Skism's "2021" is a wake-up call telling us that the struggle is not over by far. The accomplishments made by revolutionary movements half a century ago shall not be lost again - neither are they enough.

This EP is the soundtrack for burning road blocks, and for the united fight against injustice. Skism play brutal Street Punk without sounding dull. The quartet successfully merges the sound of the early 80s with contemporary content. This is beautiful antifascist and revolutionary Oi!
